Description: A monograph is defined as "a detailed written study of a single specialized subject or an aspect of it". That definition only mildly applies to this book.

SM#1 is a collection of work from writers, artists, musicians, designers and appreciators. It is random, fun, and inherently collaborative.

Over the course of 2006, we created and compiled stories, artwork, and design concepts from individuals related to Sidedown in some way. Some of these people are long-time friends and participants, others were fresh new additions to our world.

Though there is no true subject for the book, participants were given an open subject that they could opt to focus on: An Enemy's Friend. This topic spans not only the monograph but also is the title of an album from Des Sovere (a quasi-companion piece to the book).
